About Braman Insurance Services

Braman was formed in 1926 when two employees of the Gary State Bank left to form a partnership.

Milton Braman and John Borowski began their Real Estate/Insurance operation, which was known, for many years, as Braman Realty Company. As the Real Estate operation was eventually eliminated, Milton Braman continued as a sole proprietorship utilizing the name Braman Agency. In 1957, the structure of the firm was changed to that of a corporation. Sons of the principal, William and Richard Braman, joined the firm in 1956 and 1959, respectively.

The structure of the corporate agency was changed in 1999, at which time Braman Insurance Services was created, and several Producers became partners in this re-organization.

Braman Insurance offers a wide choice of insurance and risk management products, including General Liability, Property, Equipment Breakdown, Inland Marine, Captives, Business Auto, Umbrella, Crime, Global Coverage, Group Disability, Workers Compensation, Surety Bonding, Motor Truck, Cargo Legal Liability, Directors and Officers Liability, Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Risk Management, Loss Control, Liquor Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Personal Auto, Homeowner/Dwelling, & Recreational Vehicles.
